Happy holidays from our home to yours!

We decided to go paperless this year... mostly out of laziness and poor-ness, but three cheers for the bonus of environmentally friendly ;). Sorry it's a bit hard to read, so to spare your squinting I've included the main body of text at the bottom of the post.

Hoping you and yours have a lovely holiday season!
love,
Jordan & Kelsey Perry

This year we’ve both been pretty busy with work, school, church, travels, and family fun! Kelsey worked hard wrapping up her Master of Public Health, applied to law school, and completed an internship with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. While there she worked on her masters’ thesis researching social factors that make women and children in Southeast Asia vulnerable to human trafficking. She has also loved being the instructor of an undergraduate course on refugee and migrant health; it has been the highlight of her entire university experience (undergraduate and graduate!). Jordan nearly wrapped up his undergraduate degree, took the GRE twice, loved his work at the physical therapy clinic where he does sports medicine, and applied to physical therapy doctorate programs! He also ran two marathons: one at the Zermatt, Switzerland where he raced up the base of the Matterhorn, and one in St. George where he placed 5th and PRed at 2:29. What a champ!

We also busied ourselves with traveling across four European countries: Switzerland, France, Spain, and Italy.  We had a wonderful summer living in Europe and miss our many friends and the beautiful country of Switzerland very much! But we’re glad to back home and look forward to our next big adventure: DPT and law school!

We’ve applied to schools in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Indianapolis (Indiana), Chapel Hill (North Carolina), and Boston. Kelsey has been accepted at Indiana/Purdue, Northeastern (Boston), and UNC (Chapel Hill), and Jordan just got back from an interview at Elon, in the Chapel Hill area. We’re excited to hear back more about our options, and have our fingers crossed for 1) Seattle 2) San Francisco and 3) Boston.

We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving break with the whole Perry crew, minus the Livingstons. They were missed, but we had a lot of fun with the 7 kids and their families that were able to be there! Now we’re just looking forward to Christmas with the McGregor family back in California, where we can enjoy the toasty 60 degree weather and catching up with Kelsey’s brother Trent, who will be getting home just before Christmas from his two-year mission for the LDS church. Should be a wonderful break, and we’ll come back ready to finish up our last semester in Provo!

(3rd page small paragraph): We were lucky to have the McGregor Family (minus Trent) come and visit while we were living in Switzerland! We had a lovely time in Geneva, Chamonix, and Venice catching up and exploring the beautiful sites. Above are also pictures from Paris, Cinque Terre, Venice, and Rome (Spanish Steps). So many adventures in such a short time!

We sure have had a blessed and wonderful year :).

eh might switch back

Soooo it looks like my mobileme website will get shut down later this year, so I'll have to switch back to this blog from the other one (linked below). Can't decide if I want to do it now or later!

In other news, Jord has an interview in North Carolina at Elon on Dec. 12 (during finals week no less) and I got into Purdue! Sign us up for some more of that :).

Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!
